Caring for Our Community

Just in time for Thanksgiving, we had a great activation with Anthony Anderson and the LA Food Bank / Feeding America as an extension of our Curbside Caring initiative. The food bank shared that the generous Mercedes-Benz donation will provide 40,000 meals to the local area.

Caring for Our First Responders

In Sandy Springs, Georgia, Mercedes-Benz USA is coordinating catering to our local first responders with 100 meal deliveries every Thursday in April. Plus, 9,000 protective masks have been purchased and donated to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. These are the heroes in our community, so lending a hand is the least we can do.

Sprinting Into Action

Sprinter vans are uniquely capable, which is why we’ve donated nine of them to local non-profit organizations for help with meal delivery. Those include Communities in Schools of Atlanta, Meals on Wheels Atlanta (which assists medically fragile seniors) and Second Helpings Atlanta (which rescues unused food for local foodbanks).

Curbside Caring

When family and friends are struggling, a pre-cooked meal is often appreciated. At Mercedes-Benz Stadium, food is prepared and delivered locally via Sprinter vans, and at MBUSA headquarters, our corporate cafeteria is making 1,000 meals per week for families in Westside Atlanta.

Helping the Homeless

In coordination with 30 Atlanta-area organizations, we’ve helped donate and deliver 500 kits of healthcare supplies to the Salvation Army in Atlanta. The kits provide facemasks, gloves, wipes, toilet paper and hand sanitizer in an effort to assist those in need and help prevent the spread.

Stepping Up in Other Cities

While Atlanta is our home, Mercedes-Benz is reaching beyond our borders to assist with meal preparation and delivery elsewhere. In Jacksonville and Detroit particularly, and with help from Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, food donations and deliveries will be taking place.

A Contribution to the American Red Cross

As part of our recent Concours de Zoom – the first Mercedes-Benz car show via video conference – a donation was made to the American Red Cross on behalf of our participants. It was our way of providing a little bit of relief, to both viewers and responders.

Dealer Stories

Mercedes-Benz of Springfield & Nanuet

Through a gift matching program, these sister stores in Massachusetts (Springfield) and New York (Nanuet) partnered together to match any gift-card purchases towards small businesses. In the end, they helped raise $20,000 to support the local community.

Mercedes-Benz of Coral Gables

In Coral Gables, Florida, our Mercedes-Benz dealer began offering complimentary vehicle interior disinfectant to local police and firefighting departments, helping them stay protected while they protect others.

Mercedes-Benz of Des Moines

In partnership with the Iowa Wild, Mercedes-Benz of Des Moines agreed to match the first $1,000 of donations to the Food Bank of Iowa, where every $1 donated leads to four meals for those in need.

Mercedes-Benz of Clear Lake

In League City, Texas, Mercedes-Benz of Clear Lake is offering complimentary Service A, or a $200 service credit for first responders and their family. This generous offer helps them maintain the vehicles they rely on each day.

Mercedes-Benz of Music City

In Tennessee, Mercedes-Benz of Music City donated 10,000 FDA-approved facemasks to the Metro Nashville Police Department, and they’re offering complimentary labor to owners who were laid off, furloughed or lost their job as a result of the pandemic.
